Wasn’t sure where this should be posted.

Anyone else booked for Trainspotting the musical?

Looks awesome. And Irvine Welsh has been directly involved.

Going on 25th, can’t wait.

I worked as a paramedic in Edinburgh through this period, I hated the film because of the grim reality, I can’t see the musical being anymore pleasant!

Love the book. Love the film.

Never really thought how it'd translate to a musical.

As mentioned in the film...

I've read his recent addition to the Trainspotting series (Men in Love). It was unfortunately pretty rubbish.

I never quite understood the adoration for the film. There are some things that have entered the popular culture, but it was pretty grim.

I hate musicals.

I doubt I'll be watching it!

I loved the film. I even went to a re-release at a lical cinema a few years ago expecting it to be dated.

Holy crap it was visceral and dank and fantastic. Blew me away again.

The musical theatre production has been written 20+ years after the film. Not sure what your point is here?!

Anyways, I’m looking forward to it as for me the soundtrack is my favourite part.

Sounds terrible, Welsh is never happier squeezing the very last drop of cash out of his tawdry abortion of a novel, hope it bombs.

The quoting is broken but I believe his point is that Welsh no longer has it..

Snap.

It was crap and so was that god awful soundtrack.

I'd rather wash my car with a handful of gravel.
