M80 differential pinion flange
Discussion
This is a long shot.
Does anyone that swapped out for a m80 remove and replace the pinion flange back to your original and have a spare m80 pinion flange?
I can't find any other photos, (this one is on the Motaclan site) but it looks like a 6 bolt for a CV, or if anyone one could confirm the flange type, that would be great.

Excellent, Thanks. Since found John Reid has some, just waiting to find out the od and bolt pattern pcd.
I wonder why the later cars with the M80 were fitted with an adapter and not a 4 bolt, as all the m78 and m80 flanges are interchangeable.
From my memory they are not interchangeable ... My Tuscan Convertible had the new M80 diff and suffered badly with diff shunt (as did a lot of cars with M80s... the factory could not solve the problem) . My solution (well Heath at X-Works) was to get an M78 from John , but it also meant changing the prop shaft to the different length to get the correct "plunge" in addition to changing the flange.... I seem to remember 3 bolt rather than 4 , so maybe TVR only ever used 3 bolts and not 6 ??? .
Also changed the ratio at the same time. I was in 2008 so it depends on my memory

That's interesting. Here, (Aus and NZ) All Holden m75 to M80 flanges are sold as interchangeable, as are the pinion seal kits, so I wonder what went on there. It gets confusing though, over the years, there was 3 bolt, 4 bolt, 6 bolt, 6 bolt cv in 2 different sizes. Also changed the ratio at the same time. I was in 2008 so it depends on my memory

I think I may stick to the 4 to 6 bolt adapter I have (I'm changing from a uj joint a cv propshaft) as I have a feeling the 6 bolt flange supplied to TVR was from a Holden Adventura/crew which may of ran a different CV bolt pattern pcd to the GKN 930 cv I'm using.
Sounds like the TVR m80's were a bad batch, I had one in my Holden commodore LS ute for years, which gave no trouble.
