Dad had one once (late nineties I think?), bought for buttons from local auction. Great car - gearbox was smooth and nice to use, everything worked, and it wasn't rotten.

Had it on the road less than a week and to be fair, it’s awesome!!

Lived all its life in Cornwall so has suffered with the old sea air but apart from the rear inner sills it’s ‘ok’….. that was sorted pre mot.

Happy to keep progress posts and pics going, didn’t think anyone would really be interested 😊

Just before I started learning to drive I went with my Dad to Hallens Toyota in Peterborough to get his Corolla AE86 serviced.

We knew the sales guy well, as we also had a new Liteace van, and a used Cressida estate from them.

He said, "come with me" We've a new car in the showroom that's going to be released tomorrow.

He took the cover off the new Supra (non turbo at the time)

It looked massive, and so, so cool, bright red one.

A moment in my life I'll never forget.

I had the earlier model, the Supra 2.8i, 1984 on a B reg. Really nice car, and miles ahead of the Capri 2.8i which sold in far greater numbers.

I had a dog dick red Turbo back in the late nineties.

My mate had a white Turbo back in the nineties.

One time he managed to lock himself out with the engine running and it took him over an hour to get inside again using the wire coat hanger method.

Fantastic, and the non-turbo is the safer choice of the 3.0L as the chocolate head gasket is less of an issue!

Love the old Mk4, my dad had the superior turbo auto back on the 90s, white with blue leather.
My brother had an NA manual a few years back as well, easiest head gasket I’ve ever done lol
