Tesla delivery delays
Discussion
Seeing lots of talk that Tesla are not able to register long range and performance model Y’s, and potentially model 3’s at the moment. Hence none are being delivered to customers.
This has been the case for around 3 weeks, but they’ve managed to keep the lid on.
It is rumoured to be related to a change of equipment in the car that will mean a new approval from DVLA.
Depending on what you read the delay is supposed to be anything between a couple of weeks and months.

As far as I'm aware, it's just Model Y's that are affected. Model 3's seem to be going out of the pickup centres pretty swiftly. MY's however are parked up and not going anywhere?
And it's to do with DVLA type approval after tesla made some modifications. not sure why every single one is being affected though, surely after the first is sorted then the others should follow automatically? DVLA for you I guess?

It's not even all Model Y as some have been delivered. One theory is its a new battery in some cars, but we're speculating and like plenty of others, we'd end up going down a rabbit hole trying to fit the symptoms to one of a dozen possible causes. And it's to do with DVLA type approval after tesla made some modifications. not sure why every single one is being affected though, surely after the first is sorted then the others should follow automatically? I ordred a new new Long Range Premium from inventory on the 8th of March. It's been knocked back now five times with delivery promised by the end June. I just read on Facebook that someone ordered in late April and delivered their new Long Range today in Cambridge. Tesla communication is 0/10 so I will get up early tomorrow and drive to Belfast to see what's going on. They have a Long Range Dual Motor in and if they give me the same deal I will take that.

What an amazing car!! Over 400 miles covered and still over 30% charge. Quiet, fast and well equipped. Delighted and a significant improvement over my old M3 RWD Standard (2022). Worth the wait!
I’m looking at replacing my 2021 M3.LR and the world has moved on since I bought it. Considering the options which includes the latest M3 Premium.Would you mind telling me how it is a significant improvement over the 2022 model please?
How does it drive better?
Is it better inside?
Does it have an indicator stalk?
Does it still have a stalk to go forward and backward or is that in the screen now?
Is there a wiper/washer stalk or is that in the screen?
I’m a bit wary of it as my wife has never got the hang of the icons on the M3 so don’t want to make matters worse!
But I have loved the Tesla experience So easy to drive and live with ….. first world problem I know.
