I'm currently in Bridport and for the last half hour or so there's been almost continuous long low rumbles of aeroplane noise from about the NW direction. Where could it be coming from? Exeter is in that direction but didn't think it would be that busy.

B1s were over Yeovil about 50 minutes ago, probably them being refuelled in the air. They've been doing it loads over the Dorset, Devon, Cornwall coast for the last few months with the ongoing Iran war.

I think it just came over us just south of Swindon on its way home.

I heard that too, also in Bridport. Sounded just like home as I live Swindon way. I imagine it got back to Fairford a lot more quickly than trying to get up the M5 on Sunday evening!

Same thing over Plymouth this morning and this afternoon. And at the weekend too. Flight Radar was empty and there were no contrails visible but it's all you can bloody hear if you're outside. I work with 2000 teenagers and I could still hear them over that!

What on earth involves 2,000 teenagers, short of a music festival?

Good grief they're bloody loud for something that must be very high up.

More rumblings over Plymouth this morning and a suspiously empty flight radar.

A Sentry flew over about an hour ago but it was at 32K feet.

The things use so much fuel to take off, they need refuelling for that and the journey ahead really, I thought it was all done to be honest, but obviously not
