Brand new classic car bodyshells

Big Time on YouTube built up an AE86 one.
Can't be arsed to watch that, but in another vid there's lots of talk of rewelding, adding rollcages and tubular chassis. So I guess it's not very good. Doubt the original was either.
Surprised this isn't more of a thing considering the money to be made. Presumably it will be.
I too watched the Hagerty film by Larry Chen. Seems the company was always involved in supplying oem domestic manufacturer panels and worldwide pattern panels and just took it to the next level, completing the jigsaw for a few big interest classics. Apparently they've sold 600 Ford Bronco body shells, obvs to the US where one build made 400k at auction.
Final finishing and assembly did look a bit blacksmithy and you'd wonder if the anti corrosion dipping will have any real world protection (see rusty Jaecoos and Omodas) but if you want to restore your basket AE86 or 240Zeeee, prices for the shell will be very tempting given not everyone can benefit ftom a youtube collab with Cheshire classic cars!

Stopped watching when they found some bad welding and didn't bother to fix it.... plus they're all annoying. That Chinese shell looks s
t,like Leepu had built it,a far cry from what we get to see in the factory walk around video with 3D scanning of an original car,the work that goes into the dies etc.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
