I'm not sure if this is a mental question or not, but is it possible to find out which trains ran which route in the past, specifically back to the year 2000? Are things like that recorded?

Ask the question. No doubt someone can tell you. Do you mean types or specific class numbers?

Thanks for the reply, Rich. In short, I joined the RAF aged 16 on 20 Sep 2000 and my Dad waved me off from Platform 9, York station whereupon my life started to take its course.

I remember it was a GNER train, but can't remember whether it was a Class 43 125, or a Class 91 225. I was wondering if things like that are recorded, which train number ran which route etc
