Buying Audi with 42,000 miles - DSG service question
Discussion
Hello
Looking at buying a 2017 Audi tt s line but the dealer has been faffing around with getting the service history for me. All they’ve provided so far is the years the car has been serviced (17/19 Audi 2 year interval) and 21/26 with this dealer.
They said they are contacting Audi for more information on service record but number 1 red flag is the gap between 21 and 26.
I also am waiting to see what exactly the recent 26 service included. I can see from the MOT history the car has 39,000 miles last year and 42,000 now. Is it fair to expect that they should have serviced the DSG box and if not, that I ask them to do so or walk away? Or is that being a bit dramatic when I could ask them to drop the price and get it done myself?
My understanding is they really should be done on time or you’re at risk of a big bill.

And if you start offering that car around the trade you'll get "sorry, not for me"Most dealers selling prestige cars want a decent, full, history.
Other less prestige dealers will buy it, but not at CAP clean.
Wait for another to come along with better history.
Mine's a 2017 (TTS) on 45k. I've recently had the DSG service done plus inspection, oil, filter, brake fluid. Plugs and Haldex were done last time. I did a DSG reset afterwards and it's running as well or better than ever.
I'm sure you've had a close look at the tyres too - good ones are expensive and last about 15k.
