Wise words from someone so young. She was listening to Classical Gas for some reason at the time, which was played extensively on the radio at one time.

I've had this conversation.

Youngsters think the 1980s was wall-to-wall U2, Duran Duran and the Cure. It was a wasteland of novelty records and pap with the odd oasis of excellence. Here for example: The Official UK Top 20 18th May 1986.
