Am building a 10M x 10M garage. 2 windows on the western side and 4 skylights BUT will need some strip lighting as well.

What have you done and/or recommend.

I will probably have separate lighting over the workspace area of course.

I have an oversized single garage and two of these - they daisychain and have been excellent and were easy to fit. https://amzn.eu/d/0gmL0ucb

If your OH / Family are anything like mine, I would also mount some motion sensitive secondary lighting (I have a PIR spot light in the rafters) that triggers when someone walks in the garage, and covers most incidental trips to the garage.

Stops them turning on the lights, fetching things, not turning lights off. banghead

Choice of LED batons or tiles aside, I would go for more lower power lights.

I replaced two fluorescent batons with two 10,000lm LED batons which made a huge difference. However, as they are in the middle of the garage, I'd often find myself working with my back to the lights and hence something being in my shade.

I've since added 4 x 5,000lm batons which are more spread out and has helped avoid the problem.
