My work place has recently stopped providing bottled water, advice was, bring your own or use the tap. However there is no designated drinking water tap, two kitchens, mixer tap only in both locations. Whats the law on this?

What’s wrong with turning on the cold side only on the mixer tap?

Was it Buxton, Fiji, Evian, Highland Spring or Perrier?

Powerfully built Directors will need to understand this first...

This. Nothing wrong with a mixer tap supplying drinking water. I doubt there are many UK kitchens with seperate taps these days.

Just ask them to confirm the cold side is potable (drinking) water.

Where I once worked they provided very nice glass bottles of water for meetings, visitors were very impressed that they provided such expensive looking bottles of water and they often commented on how nice it tasted. The canteen staff just filled them from the tap in the kitchen. smile

On the plus side they did provide OK tea and coffee as well.

The true master simply absorbs the moisture directly from the air. Drinking is a waste of precious time.

Only if your employer provides air at the correct humidity in the workplace. If not, report them to the police with help from Bob cop

TBH I think the OP is missing an opportunity here, to come into work with one of those comically oversized drinking bottles of water. The staff in the restroom/canteen/communal area will respect and admire your prowess in H20 consumption

Good. Sounds like your employer is of sound mind and judgement.

Depends what the source is.

From the mains, or from a tank on the roof with dead pigeons in.

I would definitely be taking this up with HR / building management, for clarification.

In a kitchen it will almost certainly be drinking water. I've managed loads of office/commercial buildings and I can't remember one where the kitchen didn't have drinking water.

A lad that I work with comes to work with a 3 litre water bottle so he knows he’s drank 3 litres a day. He thinks I’m a thick when I tell him just fill a 1 litre bottle three times. The bloody thing sits on his desk looking like a gunpowder barrel!
