CT600 & closing down company
Discussion
Does anyone know the best way to submit a CT600 corporation tax return?
We are in the process of closing down a Ltd company and have a corporation tax bill of £3.23 to pay however, with Companies House removing the online filing option, the only solution I can see is signinf up for a software platform and £70+ is the cheapest i've found which is rather a lot considering.
Open to advice and suggestions please

Companies House has nothing to do with HMRC.
A CT600 is a form. You initially state that the form needs submitting.
That is a separate action to paying any Corporation Tax arising.
How has Corporation Tax been paid in the past?
Are you asking about how to submit the CT600 form or how to pay the Corporation Tax amount of £3.23.
They are two different actions.
Do you use an accountant?
Sounds like you don't.

His post makes sense as I believe you used to be able to make a joint submission of the accounts and CT600 to Companies House/HMRC, but that route has now been closed.Companies House has nothing to do with HMRC.

I don't believe you have any other route other than asking an accountant to submit for you. However with all the compliance added in for a one-off service, it would cost more than that.We are in the process of closing down a Ltd company and have a corporation tax bill of £3.23 to pay however, with Companies House removing the online filing option, the only solution I can see is signinf up for a software platform and £70+ is the cheapest i've found which is rather a lot considering.
