Thinking of examples of classic hits by artists that are not usually known for being, how you say, heavy, rocky,

Like Crazy Horses by The Osmonds, Drop The Pilot by Joan Armatrading, All Around My Hat by Steeleye Span.
Goodbye to Love by The Carpenters. Raised on Robbery by Joni Mitchell.

You nailed it. Another one: “Baba O’Riley” by The Who is obvious, but try “Run Like Hell” by Pink Floyd not their usual spacey vibe. Or “Pump It Up” by Elvis Costello way harder than his new wave hits.

The whole of The Wild Ones album by The Cockney Rejects.

When a load of scruffy Canning Town oiks went metal and got produced by UFO's Pete Way. hehe

Personally, I love it, but most people hate it. laugh

That's really interesting. It reminds me of the embryonic Iron Maiden right at the start of the NWOBHM.
