Do you drive a neo-classic in London regularly and just pay the charge ?

Does someone you know have a non-compliant car they drive regularly?



Or is it all tradies and unsuspecting french tourists ?

I pay it even though I shouldn’t. My car is Euro6 but since a private plate change TFL don’t recognise it’s exempt despite lengthy and tortuous correspondence.

So I drive my old diesel to London instead so I can get my moneys worth and pollute.

My neighbour did from when the charge was introduced until he died recently. He had a diesel BMW. He definitely drove it less than before but still used it regularly (several times a week).

My mate who was a tradie until fairly recently used to pay it and just add it on to customer bills.

I know a few people who pay it. Not every day, maybe 1-2 times a week. They have old cars that they've had for years and like. Since setting up auto pay they don't even think about it - just another cost of having 'their' car.
