What should I expect? Would I get a ticket ? Is there a way to get out of this ?

Which part of the M4 was it? If it was by Reading they are always going off. Been flashed a couple of times between junc 11 and 12 but never had a ticket.

Interesting.

I had always thought that the cameras are calibrated so they they would only flash you if you are at or over the 10% +2 level.

If your speedo was reading 45/46 then it is probably not you that got flashed.

Easy way to avoid it is to not go past a speed camera at more than speed limit+10%+1 mph.

As the other poster noted they do flash below the threshold from time to time, had a couple recently on the m1 and the m4.

Were these the 2 yellow specs cameras to the left of a gantry?

I recall plod had stopped enforcing temporary limits last years because of "issues".

At some point they will start again..might this be the start?

The plus side is that there is a specific awareness course for motorway awareness in temp limits that is in parallel to the speed awareness course.

Subject to being slow enough of course (and even speeding in the first place I suppose)

No such threshold as 10% +2 any more unfortunately. I had a ticket for 55mph in a 50mph zone.

Unlucky. My limiter is set to 80mph and I've never had a ticket and I always set it to 5mph over in these average limits and I've also never had an issue. Your '55' was probably pushing towards 60mpn in reality. Still a bit unlucky.
