Great series! Tracking the C&E tackling the heroin traffic in the early 90s.
Even with coogan in a serious role, it works.

Music from the 90s, awesome cars from the period.

So far, so good.

Anyone else seen it?

Very good, great soundtrack to, every track takes me back to my early days working the door, 1986-2019/20...

3 episodes in and loving it. The various cars of the time are bringing back all kinds of memories and the soundtrack is great.

The cinematography in this is refreshing, looks like something from the days before everything had that 'streaming' look.

Are the Turks supposed to be based on the Arifs or Babbassin?

I watched this over the weekend, it was really good. Great soundtrack, cars were all period correct and characters were good if a little clichéd at times. Even Steve Coogan was good, and I'm not a massive fan usually. Well recommended

Love the cars, but every one looks like its just come out of a showroom, washed and polished. Even a '70's Transit looked in perfect nick.

Surely its not hard to add a bit of fake rust, dirt and birdsh*t to make it more authentic.

I like it, but finding the story a bit far fetched.

I assume they have all been rented/borrowed from the manufacturer collections or classic car owners and they wouldn't be too happy about them being sprayed with fake rust, covered in dirt, etc.

Did you notice that the Escort with the newly acquired hole in the back screen was just clear glass rather than one with a heating element? I guess they swapped that out rather than damage an original one.

It's based on true events but it's not a documentary smile

It does get ridiculous in places

At the risk of rivet counting getmecoat... Is the big cheese's Range Rover Classic a post-2000s person's view* (I.e. with tinted windows) of what a 1990's drug dealer's car would look like?

At 72 I have finally decided to supplement my pension by drug dealing...

Even those cheeky Essex scamps from the 90s had the luxury of being blasted in the face with (Range Rover Classic) clear glass.

Was tinted windows, to the 2000s as the vinyl roof was to the 60s/70s, a thing in 1990/early 90s?

*possibly also the logo-printed paper bags used by the bakery.

Three episodes in and loving it. I also said to my wife that I wish they’d put a bit of dirt on the cars. The bakery van looks like it’s just come out the showroom.

Wait until the last episode when... they manage to transfer 2 tons of drugs into a life raft while their boat is sinking

Yes I've watched it all and yes that whole scenario was silly, I can't imagine that really happened.
The last episode felt rushed to me

Agreed. Not to mention the rest of the journey.

I thought Fantastic, you have to just enjoy it and suspend some of the details.
It was based on a true story and made into enjoyable TV.

I really liked it sad I just watched the last one .

Oddly after number two I was not bothered if I carried on. In number three I got hooked .

Good cast too

I thought that was excellent, really enjoyed it.

Yeah, some bits were daft, but were fine for entertainment. It wasn’t meant to be a documentary.

Could quite have happily watched 10 episodes of that and allowed it more time to develop the story. At least another 2 might have allowed it more breathing space.

The bit mentioned in the spoiler, I thought didn’t really add anything. Could have added some sort of police interest whilst docking for a bit of suspense instead.
