Would a 997.2 Carrera S fit into a 2.5 metre wide garage?
Discussion
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm looking at buying a house and would love to also buy a 997.2 at some point, so I'm curious if one would fit in the garage. The car would physically fit, but how easy would it be in terms of opening the door and getting in and out?
Does anyone happen to have some experience with a similarly sized garage?
The garage in question happens to be 5.2m long if that makes any difference.
Thank you

No problem at all. My garage is 2.5 x 5.3 and I get my 991 Targa (wide body) in very easily.
I installed a roller door for better entrance clearance. I drive in forwards close to the left wall. I’ve got soft pads on the wall where I get out but I can open the door to the first notch.
Space at the front for a shelving unit and power washer etc.

Might be worth giving this a go...

Bored on a Saturday afternoon so felt the urge to quickly measure up my 997.2 in the garage!
My garage is certainly wider than 2.5m but I think you'll be fine. See pics below:
Pic 1 shows the car about 5cm from the passenger side wall (or sheet of ply in my case). You can see the end of the tape measure circled in green. Your garage door opening width will dictate whether you can get enough angle on entry to get really close on that side. Obviously this is very relevant.
Pic 2 shows the green line drawn at the 2.5 metre mark. Clearly loads of room to get in/out, but will be reduced if you're not nice and close to the passenger wall.
Also worth noting the Carrera 2 is narrower than the Carrera 4 body, although not by much.

I also reverse in, get close to the passenger side wall and have foam on the driver's side to open the door on to.
As said already along as you get the passenger side close to the wall you should be fine. It will also depend how big you are also. Without wishing to offend anyone it goes without saying the thinner you are the easier getting in and out it will be.
