I have just cancelled a contract with Orange so that i can get a new phone on a new contract and the last bill they sent me has a charge or £3.40 on it for "Multimedia Subs".
I don`t remember this so i phoned 150 to enquire, there is no number for were the money is going and Orange (Steve) say they don`t know who is taking the money out.
It would seam from my disgussions with Steve that the only way to stop the payments is to cancel the contract, which obviously i have done anyway.

The only thing i can put it down to is a Traffic Master (or something similar) coming up on my phone that i subscibed to back in March that i thought was through Orange, only about 15% of the cameras were up and running and they were around the M25 were i don`t go so i did not renew it.
I must add that i thought it was done on a monthly basis as it had a daily, weekly, and monthly rate,so who would have an ongoing weekly rate, you would just have the monthly rate.

The main thing is that Orange don`t know were the £3.40 is going, I can`t stop it, they can`t stop it(so they say).
Is there anybody out there that has this service on their phone or is having £3.40 taken out their Orange bill for "Multimedia Subs"

Can anybody help me out with this as i hate being conned.

I am not bothered about getting the money back but i would hate to think that there are another couple of thousand people out there being stitched up.

Thanks in advance.

I got nabbed for a similar amount for their Orange World internet/data package. It seems that the retailer who sold me the phone told me I'd get a free trial of it in the first month (I never used it at all), but neglected to mention I had to phone up to cancel it after the first month. A call to 150 got the amount (3 months worth of subs) credited back on my next statement.

Forgot to mention when i got this phone it came with 3 months insurance free and then £4.99 per month there after.
When i cancelled the contract i phoned Mastercare to cancell said insurance to find out it had never been started, so i had been paying £4.99 a month and had no insurance, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yes i did complain and yes i did get a cheque for £39.92.
Talk about sharp practice.
They said of course i would have been insured had something happened.

Whats the word we are looking for B-----KS.

Don't get me started, Short version : High street store that sell phones for you, upgraded my phone and went for the next tarrif upto O2400 to carry on with the same service, cross network and all that caper, just with an extra 100 minutes. My bills then went from arond £40 a month to £100. They'd put me on some ancient tarriff called All Time 400 or something similar, only the calls to my same network are inclusive though. Whether this was an error (the girl was new) or I've been scammed, we'll find out on Saturday.

Exact same thing happened to me, they refunded it but only after I questioned it - I imagine lots of people don't notice, or at least that's the plan.
