Hi all.

I have a 2014 V40 which has has an error message regarding city safety so are there any OBD readers etc I can buy to delete or permanently mute.

Its just a station car so not bothered about getting it corrected unless its very cheap.

Thanks

Yes there are, absolutely millions of them at all possible budgets, google is your friend, as is ebay & amazon.

Yes there's millions of OBD readers, but I think what the OP is seeking is a machine that can do level 5 (reprogramming modules) and code out the "city safety" function of the car, instead of simply reading codes or showing live data. I don't know of a machine but I am sure its possible and they exist.

Given its quite a simple system (its basically a tube and a sensor) and its part of the secondary safety system, I'd be looking at fixing it

Thanks all. I actually had someone round earlier which identified a number of error codes but then he cleared them.

After a short drive, a number returned stating errors relating to brake module but the city safe fault message has now disappeared.
