360 manual prices/availability
Discussion
After a bit of debate about going down the AM V12V route, I think I'm now pretty decided that I'm going for a manual 360 spider for my analogue thrills. The market seems a bit strange. There are a bunch of cars that have hung around for ages, auction prices are not high (a great one recently failed to sell on CC), but certain cars seem to come online and get sold within days, before I even have a chance to look much less organise an inspection. I recently inquired about the two at Slade's and was told "they both just sold" (which makes me a little suspicious about when exactly they did sell tbh)
I'm not going to ask where the market will be, but where do people think the market is for these, are they creeping up? Any insight into current conditions would be helpful, I'm getting confused.
I'm ideally looking for a TDF, though would consider red. Carbon seats would be great but not a dealbreaker. It will live in London and be driven quite a bit so I'm not really interested in paying a premium for low miles, would much rather have something with great history and 30-40k on the clock (not a lot given the age of these cars now).

Manual 360s and F430s have gone a bit daft recently with many fetching prices that were previously unheard of. Whole bunch of factors at play but it seems that rare analogue cars, i.e. manual Ferrari V8s, are spiking in value as people come into money and don't necessarily want tech-laden cars with crap sounding turbocharged/hybrid engines. 430 Scuderias and 360 CS have really gone nuts.
Private sale for a good TDF/red manual Spider with 30-40k miles and solid history is £75-85k. Dealer retail puts that at £85-95k (what Slades probably ask). TDF blue adds £5-10k, carbon seats another £3-5k. Tired cars sit at £65-70k and languish.
Market is thin, not crashing. Good cars at sensible prices disappear in days, often before public listing. The ones you see hanging around are overpriced or have stories. Set alerts, have an inspector ready to go, and be prepared to pay the ask immediately when a proper one surfaces.
As someone who can advise on both, you won't be disappointed whichever route you go. If you see one, you need to act quick as good cars seem to get snapped up.
Mine had 4 enquiries and post purchase, one of them messaged asking for first refusal.
It would be worth speaking to your local dealer and asking them to see if they can source you a good one as they're getting hard to find with low(ish) mileage. I wanted one which had been used and been cherished. I wasn't too concerned ref mileage, more on condition. You'll find something if you're happy to wait and not be too select with spec.

I was in a similar position to the OP - wanting a more analogue car after enjoying some more modern options. I am loving the 360 spider (manual, carbon race seats, challenge grills, Capristo) - it really does have that modern-classic feel and every journey has been an event. It gets a lot of love (even being bright red) as I think people appreciate the older cars. Mine had over 30k miles when I bought it, but to me that was a positive as the car had been used and maintained. Go for it!

That looks lovely.
I must say, the Capristo transformed the car for me. I found the standard box very quiet unless you're really pushing on.
However, I wouldn't want it any louder.
I think it needed an exhaust - my California was louder on cold start (by some margin) than 360 on stock exhaust. I must say, the Capristo transformed the car for me. I found the standard box very quiet unless you're really pushing on.

Looks like there are very few manual 360s for sale at the moment.

In fact only 22 360s for sale on Auto Trader of all versions, regardless colour or mileage.
Then exclude the 5 CS cars pushing closer to £500k, leaves only 17 360’s on sale.
Are people starting to hang onto them now.
