I’ve had two new bank cards recently - different providers.

Both are the ones that have no numbers on the physical cards and you have to get your new pin on the app.

Both pin’s the same!

With pin numbers there are ten digits and four places so it's 10⁴=10,000(minus the numbers it doesn't allow eg 1111, 1234 etc)
With the lottery there are 59 numbers and six places so it's 59⁶=42180533641

Sorry that not how it works re the lottery

If you take the lottery it’s 59C6 in a scientific calculator.

First bit is 59*58*57… 56 ie with your first choice there are 59 balls to choose from then 58 then 57 etc

But that’s a specific order. It doesn’t matter what order the ‘right’ 6 numbers come out in. The first number can be any of the 6 then there 5 left then 4 etc. so you need to divide by 6! Which is 720

So answer is about 45million to 1

Oh yes of course, you can only use each number once in a lottery, I stand corrected.
