Honestly, this guy! Has there ever been anyone on a F1 grid with an ego like him?

I'm indifferent to him.

But he was there to promote famously Japanese Mario Brothers film, in Japan.

So not a big surprise to see him floating about

Capturing the sometimes larger than life personalities of celebs is part of the grid walk, as well as promoting their stuff.

At least they had a few positive words about F1 and seemed willing to engage. It was cringe, but much less so than the glum refusal to speak route that some of the famous attendees seem to choose.

I wish Formula One would just stop having these so-called celebrities and various other people who have no idea how to behave in public waving the chequered flag.
The majority of us are here to watch the racing and see drivers or former drivers, or people who actually understand the sport, participating.

I've only liked him in The Jackal, Bruce Willis knew how to deal with that irritant.

He is the USA's James Corden.

It is strange, I can't think of it happening in any other sports?

I'm a miserable bugger and even I like Jack Black, however, the rolling out of "celebs" to help promote F1 is a bore. I've no problem if you like the sport and you use your celeb status to get access all areas, like a rowan Atkinson but we seem to have these actors or musicians, think Beyonce and J-zed last year just to add to the show for no real reason.

Oh no. Jack Black is just mildly annoying at times, but otherwise is a very decent human-being from all accounts, whereas Corden appears to be a weapons-grade walloper in how he treats people.
