I agree with his sentiments in that the government, in their desire not to upset a significant proportion of their voters, will suggest all drugs, apart from alcohol and possibly nicotine, are bad, terrible and horrific, and the law does not take account of the effects of the poorly framed laws, which are a hangover from Nixon's attempt to be re-elected.

Mind you, even if the law on possession was more nuanced, I reckon that GBL might not be one of the drugs welcomed as a free-for-all. Very dangerous.
