Booked a Brittany Ferry 5 day special at 230 quid return, no inflated pricing there.
I've homed in on Erquy/Pleneuf Val Andre between St Malo and St Brieuc...never realised Val Andre had a Golf course thats hosted Challenge Tour a couple of years back so fancy this area.
Any decent recommendations for days out? Coastline looks lovely so plenty of walks will be on the cards im sure.

Almost anywhere around that coastline is lovely. I think I'd be more inclined to stay at somewhere more populated - like Dinan, perhaps - and do the day trips around the coast.
One of our favourite places in Northern Brittany is St. Enogat, close to Dinard, fabulous beach and lots of nice restaurants.

Rennes is nice if you want some city time, fab food market
This place is awesome though maybe too far for a day trip: https://www.manoir-automobile.fr/home/

That s a fantastic price, as I ve always paid £600-£800 on Brittany Ferries for our preferred Portsmouth to St. Malo route including an outside cabin for both crossings. Forgot to mention we did Pornic near Nantes in October Kids HT and yes Alains Manor is the dogs doodahs...
Rennes is a possible culture day.
We only have 4 full days tbh and might do Mont St Michael on the way home to kill the morning. We went in 2021 and walked up (with covid not realising) lol.
Found a nice joint in Erquy for 500 quid with a jacuzzi

Yes it's a good deal, I'm doing our bathroom refit at the moment but couldn't resist having a few days away. I looked at St Malo to shorten the route, why is cabin mandatory? I can't understand why as it can only be about 2 extra hours along from cherbourg?

I'd skip Mont St Michel,
It was way too over crowded when we went last year and no facilities, maybe just walk to the base, don't bother going inside...
I guess it depends on the time of year. We were there one June, and crowds were absolutely fine. It was a nice place to have a wander, a crepe, a bowl of cider and pass a few hours It was way too over crowded when we went last year and no facilities, maybe just walk to the base, don't bother going inside...
