The DS No.4 was mentioned in the ugliest cars on sale thread which made me think what a stupid name for a car, DS4 is fine, why No.4?

Not the worst car name though, what are the worst?

I could only think of Urus, and any of the marine animal based BYD's

The Mitsubishi 'Carisma'. A car that had none.

Or the Nissan Sunny. The Drizzle would have been better

How FIAT, and Maserati to an extent, got away with calling cars One, Point, Road and Four Door is another matter thanks to language

The Strada was called a Ritmo in a lot of places. My pal said not so in the UK as it sounds like a lawnmower biggrin

My colleague had an Audi 100CC. Several people asked him how such a big car could only have a 100CC engine.

Kia Shuma (c.2000). I'm confident Michael Schumacher wouldn't have been seen dead in a dreary, cheap saloon.

Mitsubishi/Colt Starion (1980s). Reminds me of a Japanese amplifier I used to own with the word "stereo" misspelt as "steleo".

Diahatsu Applause.

My maths teacher has one. I always thought the applause badge should have been illuminated for added effect.

What about:

Skoda Superb - It's a pretty good car, but to describe any family estate / repmobile as "Superb" is probably overdoing it a little.

No longer available, but we also had the Skoda Rapid, which as it only had about 100bhp certainly wasn't. They then improved it with the "Rapid Spaceback" which should actually have been the "Rapid Less-space-in-the-back" as the boot was smaller than on the normal Rapid.

Also no longer available, the Toyota Picnic struck me as quite a silly name too.

Beating all of these though, and available to buy right now, you could hand over £27k and be the proud owner of a brand new GWM Haval Jolion Pro......

Toyota MR2 - in French MR2 sounds closely to merde or st. Appropriately enough for the Mk2 Rev.1 some would say.

Ford KA - countless arguments at school and work over pronunciation:
"Kuh"
"Kah"
"Kar"
"K. A."
