I’ve recently discovered these guys. They’re from Quebec and rapidly taking the music world by storm. At first I was utterly confused but now can’t get enough. Utterly mesmerising. I need a multi-tonal guitar in my life.

Thoughts?

Yep - they've been around for a bit but I think the KEXP performance recently went a little bit viral for them

I believe their EP was released in 2024 but they’ve just recently gone global. I was excited to see they’re playing the Scala in London in the next month or two but apparently tickets were sold out in seconds.

Thanks for posting.
Reminds me of Brand X or King Crimson.

I'd hoped the Second Viennese School of "music" had died out

Clearly not frown

Holy st. It's like a fever dream.
The aesthetic will give me nightmares, but the music is awesome.

If Mr Blobby and Monty Python’s Black Knight formed a band, inspired by Salvador Dali who’d just dropped acid…

Try their song "Fabienk" - arguably better than the above. The last couple of minutes are maybe the largest earworm ever.

You’re most welcome. I’m so glad the reaction seems to be positive. I’m a pretty hardcore old-school blues fan myself and it takes something really pretty special to stop me in my tracks and pay attention these days.

As well as the vibe I can’t begin to understand the level of skill these guys/girls/aliens have to produce this music. As well as the awesome drumming and looping I’ve just noticed the guitarist is twisting knobs with his feet whilst playing. I can’t play guitar and sing a note at the same time!

Will check them out later (the rugby is on) - thanks OP, hadn't heard of them before.
