Can you believe it’s been nearly three years since we set up PistonHeads auctions? What started off with just a handful of proper enthusiast cars - among them a Noble M600 and Renault Sport Megane Trophy-R - has now developed into an ever-rotating marketplace of dream-grade machinery. We’ve taken the hassle out of selling for countless owners, connected just as many buyers with the car of their dreams, and attracted thousands of bidders in the process.
One of the reasons we launched PistonHeads auctions was to make selling premium, performance and collectable cars as effortless as possible. We essentially act as your support network from start to finish, with a dedicated consigner guiding you every step of the way, from assigning a professional writer to craft a thorough description to making sure the final sale runs as smoothly as possible.
We also offer a concierge service for a fully managed experience, where all you have to do is hand us the keys and paperwork. It’s proven hugely popular with sellers on PH, so we’ve teamed up with Henry’s Car Barn to offer even more concierge sites alongside our existing partnerships with Auto Clicker and SPR.
You may be familiar with Henry’s Car Barn. We used its cushy clubhouse for our recent auction videos, and the car storage firm has been growing rapidly in recent years with five state-of-the-art facilities across the UK. We’ll be making use of them all for auction sellers who opt for the concierge service, with locations in Warwickshire, London, Northumberland, Hampshire and West Sussex. These locations join our existing facilities in Gloucestershire and Cheshire, providing extensive coverage across England.
So what exactly do you get in the concierge service? Unlike a regular auction, where your car remains with you until the winning bidder collects it, concierge lets you drive to one of our seven locations and leave the keys with us (or we can put a quote together for collection if you’d prefer a truly seamless experience). For £595 plus VAT, you get cleaning, photography and storage throughout the auction process all included, and we’ll also take care of the handover process once a sale has been agreed. You’re then left to sit back, relax and watch the bids roll in.
