Aged 86. A bit before my time but as I got older I realised how many great songs he had recorded written

Christ, my mum used to like him and he popped into my head just this week.

I am 74, so he and Carole King were two of the first pop-stars that I recall listening to on the radio. Funnily, I thought Neil was much older, I had imagined him being in his late 90s by now.

The stuff he did with 10cc in the 70s was really good.

That's a damn shame. I doubt many people would remember him now or even appreciate his music but he was a master song writer.

The hungry years. Great song and sentiment
He could actually sing too not like a lot of modern artists.

A lot of modern artists can actually sing.

Some non-modern artists were rubbish, fifty year later we only remember the good ones.
