There are plenty of providers of hire cover excess cover, but it seems not many policies that cover car insurance excesses. Admiral are stating a £1,000 excess on a Model 3 and ideally want most of that covered.

If anyone has a recommendation feel free to drop a comment.

There are several providers, but beware, you have to claim on your main policy and pay the excess begore you can claim it back.

So if you have a £1000 excess, and you have an £1100, you can't choose not put in a claim on your car insurance because you'll only get £100 from them, but claim the £1000. You have to make the claim.

If you have a £900 claim, that's on you. The excess insurer won't pay you £900 because the claim is below the excess.

There are plenty of companies if you Google "Car Excess Insurance" although some of the results are mixed up with car hire excess insurance.

It is an eye opener how many people take out stupidly large excesses that they would ill afford to pay in the event of a claim.
