P11 GT4 bucket seats - what do they actually sell for ???
Discussion
Ok, so man maths squirrel making me turn to the internet community for opinions this morning.
Currently I have a lovely 981 GT4 with bucket seats, ceramic brakes, PDLS etc, it’s a really good spec. But I am thinking of selling the car this summer.
My car is faultless but has 58k road miles on the clock which I know lowers its value compared to some.
I’ve seen adverts for the P11 buckets at circa £12k which has got me thinking that selling the seats privately and putting in some
Secondhand OEMs at £2k wouldn’t actually reduce my car price by the £10k difference ?
Ridiculous idea or do you agree with this mornings squirrel ?
Anyone got any experience of what the P11 seats actually sell for ?
Thanks 👍

Price for used P11 seats seems to be around £6k-£8k depending on how many are looking for them at any one time. Over the last 12 months the cheapest sold for £5,900 and the dearest at £8,300 on Collecting Cars. Obviously that doesn't include buyers premium which is not relevant to you as a seller. Ashgoods look like the repeat seller
So if you got the lower end, then taking off the cost of finding replacement seats for the the GT4 minus the reduction in value selling the car with armchairs and the associated hassle I would say the juice is not worth the squeeze. I wouldn't buy a GT4 that came with carbon buckets on the build sheet and then mysteriously doesn't now have them. Others might.
