2017 Ford Mustang airbag pedestrian sensor errors
Discussion
Hi all,
I've got a customer car that has come up with a bunch of codes on collection day and wondered if anyone could shed any light on them.
Some background >>
- Car is a 2017 Ford Mustang
- We're a detailing shop not mechanics
- Bumper was taken off and painted by a bodyshop, we re-fitted it, all lighting connectors were ok, nothing left unplugged as far as we could see.
- Customer has tried to clear the codes with a scan tool. They clear but immediately return.
- Customer has checked fuses, all ok
Internet thus far has failed to give me any useful information.
I find it odd that there are multiple related codes and all front sensorys are duff.
Thoughts ... could we have disturbed a connector somewhere that strings all of those sensors together? Does anyone have a wiring diagram or experience with this.

Was the front bumper off for repair post an accident? Were the faults there before it was brought in? Is the airbag light on?
From what I've read they are individual sensors and all of them showing faults may be because of an accident. If it isn't it may be just that you need the right scan tool to clear the codes if it was all disconnected and the 12v battery was still connected.
