As per the title really.

Currently got one of these, although it no longer spreads evenly, seems to dispense too much on one side and not enough on the other. However it was brilliant at first so its a shame 😞

Front lawn is only small, back is about 90sqm or actually lawn.

What you all using and what would you recommend for this size?

I'll tell you how the Miracle Grow one goes this weekend when I intend to spread... Ordered this because I noticed Danny Hibbert was using one on YOUTUBE ... so good enough for me smile ( but he probably got given his smile )
My old Homebase one has been limping on for the last 5 years , then the cable broke.... but I reckon it was 20 years old

Haven't used a lawn spreader since 1987 when part of my job was testing them! Filled it with product, applied 1m2 over a smooth concrete floor, then swept it up and weighed it... I can't recommend one but whatever you buy, make sure it works for the product/dose rate you need.

Cool, I like his videos, only just found about him really. Quite like Premier Lawncare too

Yeah the Scotts/Miracle grow rotary works.

Dont get a drop spreader type, slow and too easy to scorch.

I used the Miracle Grow/Scotts spreader today , in general I'm quite happy with it .. it cost about £59.70 on AMAZON .. maybe cheaper elsewhere but I got it delivered the following day.

Pros

Gave good coverage and didn't block up , although I always only 1/3 fill the hopper on these rotary spreaders
When you released the feed , it DID STOP spreading.. others I've used continue so when you stop walking you over apply

Cons

The dispensing control seems a little flimsy and needs a bit of trial error to get the required spread. I wanted to use all 20kgs of 4in1 , so set quite high at 26 .

I have one of these, which is excellent.

Might be overkill for your needs tho, and is quite spenny!

Doesnt seem to work for seeds, but for weed n feed, works fine.

Great information, thanks. Now just ordered one from amazon.

I nearly bought one of these last time instead of the drop spreader. Should have followed my instinct.

I had one like this, did 20 years until the rust attacked the axle,

Now I've got to an age where a huge lawn is too much for me, so I have a man come and do it.
