I've a Merc CLS and I'm looking to change it for something sportier, as a daily drive.

I've got £30k, I am considering:
Maserati Guibli
Bentley Continental GT
Porsche Macon

Millage will be around 14k per year. Its just for me and the Mrs, I like a large boot for cases etc. Ideally a car with an actual spare tyre.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Definitely a Guibli, for that sort of millage I wouldn't bother with a Macon.

I wouldn't call any of them sporty to be fair.
Especially the Guilbo.

Mustangs are creeping into that price bracket. Boot is enormous and seats fold should you need more, they're fun to drive and get a lot of positive attention.

Petrol Macan despite the good handling and performance, they like a sip. The Macan averages 20-25mpg so you might need to consider it if covering 14k miles/ year, unless you go Diesel.

All have big boots & are great places to be, from your list the Ghibli gets the nod but don't forget the Jaguar XF in 3.0 S form.

I saw a Panamera this morning on my way to work and thought of this thread. The backend doesn't look great but surely hugely capable and with a big boot The 4.8T V8 might be a bit thirsty for 14k miles a year though.

I owned a Ghibli V6S which is the only one to get really . They were pricey new and not many around but great looking and very characterful and sound great in sport mode especially a cold start. Get one from late 16 onwards which was a facelift for the infotainment mainly. They are well within budget. A Conti GT is a good shout though you’ll want a gen 2 V8 with that mileage I imagine. They just creep in budget but a good example might stretch it a little. Currently drive the saloon equivalent (V8 Flying Spur) and it’s a wonderful interior and the engine is fine though a bit muted. A lot of car for the money especially if you have a good indy nearby. I considered an E53 estate but heart won over head.
