Really surprised our Stewie hasn't created a thread on this

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cnv61zv534eo

Student protecting a small university protest by feminists, was repeatedly kicked and punched on the ground by masked and hooded young men. He died of head injuries.

The suspects are linked to LFI which has 70 MPs in the 577-member National Assembly, including one of the suspects – Jacques-Elie Favrot – was a parliamentary assistant of an LFI deputy Raphaël Arnault,

This and further stories like the sledgehammer attack on the police within the UK leads to the question .. Could this be new tactic and escalation in violence by Antifa and Left Wing agitators and militants.

Really, surprised you feel that,

What with Charlie Kirk last year and even left wing media like the USA NBC

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/rig...

The report on terrorism and political violence by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, found that, through July 4, "2025 marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing terrorist attacks outnumber those from the right.

The far left have always been just as violent and nasty and the far right.

Just that for reasons of optics, the centre left like the BBC and Guardian et al pretend otherwise. They like to pretend that ALL people on the left are wonderful and pure and loving and caring

Which is idiotic, since as a centre to right thinker like myself. I'm well aware of the (true) far right groups being s and I have no problem calling them out for their stupidity.

I dont believe that calling out the far right makes my right leaning views untenable by "association"

The BBC seem to be doing a poor job of pretending that given it’s their article.

Afraid I don't tend to read much about what's going on in France day-to-day.

Horse shoe politics though isn't it.

You have violent scumbags at both ends of the political spectrum and thankfully we seem to have less of an issue with that particular extremist element here in the UK than some other countries.

If you think you've any time for any of these dirtbags perhaps look on the thread about Palestine Action.

Hopefully they'll get some serious jail time come the retrial given the perverse verdict we've just seen.

Trust you'll find that answer acceptable smile

Not particularly interested in the "who can cherry pick the most news articles" game.

Polarisation is the goal of this thread,

Hatred ultimately never works.

They can choose hatred, but the hater will always vanish in its thrall.
