Good afternoon, thanks for your interest:
-Specifically, the "SA" at the beginning of the VIN is the World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI) for Great Britain. Decoding the full VIN SALKA9AW7PA016125.
-Plant Location: Solihull, UK.
-Model Year: 2023 (indicated by the 'P' in the 10th position).
-The 10th digit of your VIN (P) specifically denotes the 2023 Model Year for Land Rover vehicles. A 2022 Model Year vehicle would have the letter N in that position.
-Why the confusion?
It is common for vehicles to be manufactured and sold in the latter half of a calendar year but designated as the following year's model. For example, a "2023 Model Year" Range Rover Sport could have been manufactured and registered as early as mid-2022.
-Transmission: All variants feature an 8-speed automatic gearbox and intelligent all-wheel drive.
-Personal experience:
The car is registered on the 02/09/2022 and I bought it on the 20/03/2023 ( with 7 months and 3,500 miles) at Saxton 4x4 saying that due the long wait of the manufacture (a year or so) companies order the cars and the sale it, so for me it had only one driver owner and myself, since 3,500 miles to 24 almost 25.00 miles that have now I’m the only driver and the car never ever gave me any problems. It is a very good car with a with spoiled care.
I hope you are satisfied with the update. Thanks
