Ah well, it had to happen. It was sold last saturday to a guy who will use it as a daily driver which is good. He got a bargain nad now I have to try and find something else.
Bit like following Frank Sinatra at the London Palladium.
The presidential candidates are:
Dodge Ram
CTS-V
Monaro VXR
Mustang GT
...or may wait for the GT500.
As an avid opposer of the Vauxhall VXR for so long, I find it quite hard to argue against it as a practical proposition plus it has an LS2 and I don't have to SVA it. Still a bit bland though.

Well done with the sale - it's always a
moment but there's something about clutching a bundle of fivers which lessens the pain! Your wish-list all look like 4-seaters so does that mean the Camaro is going as well? Guess it makes good sense if you can get by with one car instead of two (not that it's something I've ever managed!). Happy hunting for the next one.

I may keep the Z28 and refurb it or I may sell it and just buy one. We've got the Mazda 5 for the runaround anyway so it will still be a toy - just a more practical one. It all depends on insurance and how much harder this government plans making ownership of more than one vehicle.

I need four seats but in any event the C6 is ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly squared to the power of 4.

I saw a Saleen kitted new shape mustang the other day, if I was to sell my vette thats what i would go for
Yes those have been tempting me too. The Saleen is available as a model in it's own right. I was offered a new Saleen Mustang in Florida for around $36000 which in retrospect wasn't a bad deal. Trouble is that this sort of car is really diffcult to track down on the web. Seems no-one ever sells them second-hand. I'm not sure the Saleen is so much better than the new GT as I believe Saleen had an input into developing it. Could be wrong of course. LOL.

CTS-v, but only 2 coming into the country officially, so you'll have to grey import. Monaro would be good, but depreciation might be heavy. Mustang isn't bad, but it's a Ford!
I think Lusifer should get one of these.......

There is no 300C on my list for the following reasons:
1. It's too heavy, hemi or not, so it's not quick.
2. The SRT-8 is better but the looks are too bling bling rapstar for my liking and
3. When the shine goes off it (and I think it will), it will be as fashionable as a new Beetle.
4. Top Gear slated the handling which wouldn't be so bad but even James May dismissed it and it's clearly not as good as the VXR. To my mind, the CTS-V comes close but hell, they're holding their prices.
The Americans don't seem to suffer the sort of crippling depreciation we get over here so $8k is all the CTS has sunk in a year (bar ex-lease vehicles).
I have founs a plethora of saleen Mustangs on ebay including a drop-dead gorgeous all white one with white wheels but it's almost impossible to buy off ebay and get it exported without a lot of aggro.

I did see one of these in Bruges the other week - very Bentley looking. Nice car though if you like that sort of thing

Just a thought, but have you properly looked at the CTS-V? Might be worth looking into if you ask me....especially as Mr. Lingenfelter can help you out in the 're-arrange your face department' should you feel the need....

Yes. Sat in one in Florida and yes please but $52000 new with a compulsory yet useless OnStar system and still $44k a year on (bar some ex-lease ones which I would avoid). By the time you add taxes and shipping, it's still £37000 landed before SVA etc as the exchange rate isn't exactly favourable at the moment. There's one CTS-V on Auto Trader for £39k ready to go but that's a bit much for me when 6 litre VXR's are down to £31k already, 5.7 VXR's are about £27k and Mustang GTs are down to under £20k. Seems to favour the Mustang with several thousand quid in hand for mods.
So yes, I'd love one. But not at that price.LOL.

There's no way ayone could argue against that!
If I were you, I would go with the Manora VXR 6-Litre. It may be more expensive than the Mustang, but is apparently a MUCH better car (although I am prepared to be wrong about this having never driven either).
