Teak Garden Table
Discussion
We're on the hunt for a new garden dining table.
Existing one is great, a pal got it for me from a trade show about 20 years ago 2.4mx1.2m, oval with the usual slats. Really solid and well put together.
I tend to clean/brighten and seal rather than muck around with oils/stains etc, so the existing one has held up perfectly - which makes me somewhat concerned about just buying a replacement and then finding that it's crap.
Reason for change is to get an extendable one similar size around 1.7m 'closed' extending to either 2.4 or 2.7 (ideally oval)....don't want chairs just the table.
ideas on makes to avoid or look at in more detail?
tips on what specifically to look at to know whether it's made from a decent bit of wood etc? (they all look great brand new, but guessing that can change pretty quick if it's a crap one)
