my elise has got a mixture of tyres on at the moment all with about 3-4 mm of tread and was going to wait till they were all bald to replace the entire set with a full set of one type sometime in the new year (is this wise?).

this weekend i got a puncture in one of my rears and dont want to be buying one new tyre which will outlast all the others.

does anyone have a part worn knocking around their garage in the essex/london area?

can anyone remember the sizes of the standard elise rear?

Standard rears were 205/50/16 or something most people swap to front at 195/50/15 and rear 225/45/16. I'd just get a full set of 4 new tyres, BFGoodrich G-Force Profilers get good reviews from SELOC and are only £300 for a full set.

I don't understand why people buy a car like the elise and then put crap or mixed tyres on it.

What Johnny said. It's approaching winter, the best time to stack your P&J and a sh!t set of tyres will only help you achieve that.

£300 for a new set or a couple of grand for a new clam, spray etc. when you stuff it backwards through a hedge?

thanks very much for the advice guy's youve def got a very good point. where do i need to look for these £300 a set tyres, is that the price in quickfit or did you have somewhere in mind. i noticed the cheepest set of tyres on elise parts were over £400 including tax
