Being reported on social Media that the creator of Ogri has passed away.

All the way back to1976 I waited for each new issue of Bike magazine, and straight to the inside back page for that month's episode.

RIP Paul.

That's sad, I loved Ogri as well, and had a teeshirt with Ogri, Malcolm and Kickstart.

Facinating read. I read the strip back in the late 70s going forward but only know something about the artist now.

I didn't know he'd done stuff for CAR Magazine.

There's a link to the 30 minute animation cited in that article:

It was a shame when Bike stopped publishing the cartoons. Some time back there was a Kickstarter project for a compendium book covering all the cartoons he'd done for Bike.

He also did the album cover for the Black Sabbath - Forbidden album:

Shame, one of the best cartoonists of his generation.

Was that him? A rare miss in my book. I can imagine the record bombing due to the uninspiring cover. I can only assume he was friends with Tony Iommi or some brainless record exec.

The Internet told me that album bombed, but it was not to do with the artwork. It seems the album was later reworked by Iommi.
