..and so to bed
Discussion
It is that time of year. DVLA have sent me the tax renewal, nights are getting longer, days shorter and duller and country lanes are moist with leaves and muck. Ant and Dec occupy Saturday nights.
Time to put the Elise to bed until the spring.
I have a battery conditoner and various covers. I leave the handbrake off, over inflatethe types, give a light spray of WD40 and give the leather a winter feed.
Anything else I should be doing? I do run it about every 2/3 weeks.
Before you all cry "tax it and run it through the winter", the tax man thrashes me for that because it is a second company car and giving a SORN avoids paying a full 12 months of company car tax.

sounds about right what you have said there. I used to put my car to bed for the winter (not the Elise) and it was those exact steps. The battery conditioner is very good also.
I didn't even bother running it every 2/3 weeks; turned it off in october, turned it on in April! (ok, I put very thin oil in it before turning it over for the first time, got the pressure up by removing the plugs, primed the fuel pump and hey presto started first time without so much as a cough or splutter!
