Sorry for the awful thread title.

Ages ago there was a PH'er who had a lighting company. I think a bunch of people bought the all in one LED units, but I can't remember what they're called and I can't access the email address I was using at that time..

Anyway, a couple have gone a bit funky and are flickering, was trying to find out if they're still made so I can get replacements.

Does anyone have a better memory than me?

Zep1's? We bought several for our last house too.

Company might be or have been Ecoled, or similar. Have a feeling the chaps user name could have been E36guy?

I think Guy sold the company a while back.

I have some of the ZEP1's, have you tried changing the power supply? That was the problem with mine when they started flickering. Power supplies are readily available online for around £20.

If you pull the light (gently) out of the roof, the power supply should follow it out, get something of the same spec and you should be good, hopefully.

There have been a few threads about this over the years.

Ecoled rebranded as Phos or something like that? Guy was still involved last time I contacted him.

I’ve had both repairs and replacements from them.

Other people (including me) have had success in replacing the COB chip but it was said recently that they are difficult to get hold of now.

I had a saved search for ZEP1s on a well known auction site and used to hoover up spare ones, so I now have a decent stock if any more of mine play up. Most of them are c.10 years old and still going strong.

Power supplies do fail but I think that’s a binary outcome (working/not working) rather than flickering. You do need to replace a PSU with one of the same rating, otherwise they won’t work - also discussed at length on here!
