Uncontactable seller
Discussion
Hi PH, I am just after advice as I am quite frustrated by a seller that posts in the classifieds. He has had 2 cars that fit my exact criteria (Z4 M Coupe in Interlagos blue with 19 inch CSL rims) and despite trying to call and purchase both a year apart, the seller is totally and completely uncontactable. This is despite having numerous listings and a website, and also a load of decent reviews when you look up the company online.
In short:
-Mobile number either rings like a foreign tone if dialled through PH, or if you use the actual number from the website (small home made affair) it goes straight to voicemail. This is permanent, i.e the phone is switched off 24/7. I have called it repeatedly at all times of day and night for long durations during the period both cars have been for sale.
-Numerous messages left, never a response.
-Tried using the contact me form on the website, it generates an error page.
-Tried using the contact through PH, says sent, but never a response.
I am baffled as to how any business can operate like this, however I really want the car - but seems seller literally does not exist. Any advice?

I get all that however the evidence conflicts with the experience. Large amount of stock for sale, seemingly huge back catalogue, and a load of reviews elsewhere online that are all 5 star? All cars are POA which in itself is slightly strange but, just grates. I really want the car for sale plus it is local in Wiltshire, Calne.

If it's local, can't you just pop by and see?Is that the Z4M that has been on there for two years and says 'Similar Examples Required'?
It doesn't appear that he's trading any longer - all of his ads are the same 'similar examples required' - i.e. just put there to seek stock, not because any is available, and his most recent review on Google is three years ago.

Yes it is - maybe this is the same car I tried to buy last year and its me being thick but I am sure this was taken down and re uploaded as I have been looking consistently. Companies house good idea...It doesn't appear that he's trading any longer - all of his ads are the same 'similar examples required' - i.e. just put there to seek stock, not because any is available, and his most recent review on Google is three years ago.
