Hello PH friends

Let's do some day dreaming. Recommendations for an epic car for Spring / Summer. Requirements are as follows:

- under £20k
- has to be something that feels like an event every time you drive it on a weekend (think brave pill or cult car)
- 4 seats would be good but 2 is doable
- fairly reliable / not ruinous

I'll start you off: Maserati Granturismo, Porsche Panamera, Jaguar F-Type, BMW M5, BMW M4.

Aston DB9.

I would add that I know someone who has had theirs for over 10 years and he hasn't had to spend a fortune on its upkeep, but I would imagine they're not all like that smile

S8

Or something TVR. Can a Griffith 500 be had for that money? Or a Tuscan / Cerbera.

This will be under-appreciated but I second it. The early 500SL had the spectacular M119 quad cam V8 that they used at Le Mans (minus the turbos) and really the last of the legendary Benz quality.

I suppose it depends a bit what sort of car you like.

Maybe a BMW M3 of some sort or a Z4M?

Can you get a V8 Mustang for £20K?

V10 M5 for sure. Having been in and driven a friends one it is quite the car. That engine could make nipping for some milk a spine tingling experience.

For 20k, a bit wk. Old, problematic, a bit wk. Many sit for sale for a long time... You can do better.
