N420 Rear transmission buzzing after an unfortunate sliding
Discussion
Daily driving during winter can be dangerous... Especially when there are ice and snow with summer half used tires...
Long story short, I was driving the other night and at a round about, at about 5kmh, my V8V started to slide from the back. Nothing to do, it was an icy area.
Slowly but surely my rear right wheel ended up on a curb. Really in parallel. The crub scratched my wheel 😭.
I checked and I didn't see any additional damage.
But I was wrong, since then, I've a buzzing sound coming from the rear. The frequency of much higher than the wheel rhythm (my wheel is not bended). The car drives correctly, doesn't goes right or left, brakes normally, but the buzzing sound increases with speed (independently from the gear engaged).
I lift the car the day after and I didn't see any issue bellow, nothing visible.
My AM expert says it must be the ball bearing in the rear hub but he didn't see the car yet. I've an appointment on the 26th.
I'm really sad about this bad adventure. I've ordered 4 x Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport that will be mounted next week. I don't want to risk sliding anymore.

I'm sorry to see this. I am close to you. But you were lucky, he could have gone to another lane and crashed into another car. You'll see that it's a small damage
By the way, the day I picked up my aston, I immediately scratched it against the gate of my house. And after a while I hit thea sidewalk.
I came from a Lotus Elise S1 that was half the size of the Vantage.

As I also told The Big Hunt, I believe there is some sort of force that when you buy a new car, something bad must and will happen in the very next days or weeks. Has to. Big or small. So if it's something small, we should consider ourselves lucky! Then after this initial misstep, there are years of happy, trouble-free motoring.
