Peugeot 3008.
There is a small metal disc (35mm dia,) which was stuck to the windscreen and supports the mirror, which has been knocked off.
As this takes a fair amount of strain supporting, and when the mirror is being adjusted, I need a very strong glue to stick it back, ideally what was used originally, or whatever else would be suitable.
Your recommendations are appreciated thanks.

Pop into your local windscreen fitting place armed with a four-pack.

They tend to be 3M double sided sticky tabs nowadays.

As long as you clean the screen with a good alcohol wipe and then leave the tab attached but without weight overnight or for 24hrs it should stick like censored on a stick!

Never bothered fixing mine when it fell off, but then I am used to driving a van, so I didn’t miss it.

Bizarrely my current company van has a rear view mirror, even though not only has it no rear windows, but it has a solid bulkhead as well.

Pilkington tried this on a few of their aftermarket lines and quickly reverted to the two-part adhesive that we've been using for decades in the trade. As good as 3M is, tape is not good enough for holding a mirror onto a windscreen for most cars.

The go to product is a 2k Loctite product which is too much in quantity (and too expensive) to buy for one go, but the best advice has already been offered: a local windscreen fitter.
