My 2024 (owned from new) 2 series has a factory fitted spoiler fitted to the boot. It’s starting to lift in the corner on one side, not by a huge amount but I’m sure it will only get worse.

Dealer has offered, under warranty, to sort it out. This will involve the fitment of a brand new spoiler, which will have to be painted & fitted at the dealership. They’ve advised that in these circumstances they will also use some bonding agent in the corners to prevent it from lifting in the future.

To be honest, it seems like a bit of a faff to book it in, be without the car for a week (ok, I’ll get a courtesy car etc but still a pain) & have a new dealership painted spoiler fitted which may have issues in future with paint quality etc.

Thinking of getting some tiger seal & just putting a small amount under the corner where it’s lifted, tape it down for a day or two & hopefully will sort for a lot less hassle.

Anyone else have experience of this & gone the same route or am I tempting fate with other issues??

Let the stealers sort it out under warranty, no faffing about.

3M VHB tape is what you want to use but would need to be removed cleaned properly, so still a faff biggrin

I've used tiger seal (Sikaflex is another product which is basically the same) It will definitely work but the spoiler will never come off again whether you want it to or not. It's also very messy and stains whatever it touches, including your skin.

I would recommend 3M tape
