1991 TVR S Question
Discussion
Hello everyone, recent new owner and have a few questions if you could advise at all please?
1. I have a 1991 S3 yet have noticed it has the S2 bonnet and S2 wing mirrors (which are useless....lol).
2. The air intake hose on the passenger side (putting air into the cabin) appears to be missing and there is no hole even in the side wing panel for one to go into. The drivers side air intake is there however and enters via the side drivers inner wing.
3. The air vents in the center console do not blow any air and have noticed that the hose appears to be have been pushed up behind the steering wheel column. Would it be a simple case of me just connecting it back up to the center air vents? Or do think there maybe something else untoward?
4. Mine does not have central locking, however I understood that it was standard on the S3's? Maybe disconnected, or a fault?
Appreciate any feedback you are able to offer.
Thank you.
G.

Here we go!
1. When you say S2 bonnet what do you mean? If you're referring yo having driving lamps they were an option, not standard on S3.
Those awful " bunny ear" mirrors continued into S3 production.
2. Nearside vent hose goes into a hole in the bulkhead above the bell housing.
3. The central "eyeball" vents are force fed by those two long flexi hoses from the front of the bonnet. The faster you go the more air, dust and dead flies you get.
4. Central locking was not standard.

Thanks Phill for the reply, I do appreciate it.
In respects to the bonnet, I'm referring to the bonnet with the vented bulge in it, as opposed to the change over which was similar to the bonnet used on the Chimaera with the side vents.

Geoff
The Chimp type bonnet was only available on the S4In respects to the bonnet, I'm referring to the bonnet with the vented bulge in it, as opposed to the change over which was similar to the bonnet used on the Chimaera with the side vents.
