Season one due on the 18th Jan.
Based upon the 3 short "Dunk & Egg" novella's, set 90 years or so before the main series and 80 years after HotD. 6 episodes, 30mins each.

After just finishing the 3 books, this looks fantastic!

The dialogue always puts me off when they use modern language

From the trailer, I'm optimistic.

There's quite a lot being written about an Arya spin off, with some saying it's confirmed.

Obviously they are going to milk it for many years to come, like they are doing with The Walking Dead, must admit though, an Arya series would be of great interest

Seeing as they won't back down and redo season 8 or even provide an extended cut to make Denerys decisions more believable or John less sidelined, I'll wait for ChatGTP to be able to redo it for me. Until then the spin-offs can spin on it. hehe

Yeah really great first episode. Almost identical to the book.

Only odd bit was the s***ing part just before the title screen ... WTF

I enjoyed it. I don't think the whole dancing scene was in the book? And there was certainly a little more dialogue, but I like the tone, and the length of the episodes when everything else is at least and hour these days, and a series is an 8 hour slog...

It was good, but when it finished I thought is that it? Yes it's only 39 minutes. I wanted more, which is good.

What language should they use? It irritates the hell out of me when historical characters use twisted syntax and avoid contractions, in a fantasy it would be even more ridiculous.

I’d not seen any adverts for this at all. I found it pretty underwhelming and thought the whole thing felt a bit cheap. I’ll keep watching it but it felt more like a Ch4/5 offering to me.

I turned it off after half an hour. The characters and dialog seemed a mile off what we've seen in the GOT universe before it.

Think you must have fallen asleep somewhere in the middle, first episode was only 40 mins

Subtract 30 from 40. It's a positive number.

Quite enjoyed that, the stting scene, wtf? Since when did we need to see that?

Also I felt the music was a bit weird and out of keeping.
