Currently with BT 75MB at £30.00 per month
BT sent me a renewal email with the new price of £62 per month.
Obviously £62 is total b*ll*cks but the cheeky email got me thinking.

I knew City Fibre had wired my telephone pole end of last summer so I went on hotukdeals and found Rise Fibre doing 1GB at £17.50 per month.

Rang them this morning.
The deal is:
24 months for 1GB.
12 months at £17.50 per month
12 months at £23.50 per month
non CGNAT £5.00 per month (fixed ip)
£3 increase per month in April 26 and again in April 27.
Router supplied but will use my own.
no traffic throttling.

City Fibre are coming round this week to install.

1gb?
Sounds a good deal
Mine is City Fibre, Toob, fibre from pole too.
Was £29 a month with no increases.
No problems at all!
I use their supplied Linksys. I did add another one, brand new fron Ebay £35 (badged Community Fibre..) to cover the back and garden.

I've been on the 900 connection with CityFibre (through Vodafone) for about 4 years now its been very good, most of my devices get nowhere near that speed but I can see that speed coming into the router.

When I looked at CF website it didnt offer any CF branded deals but lots of others. Is it a comparison website?

CF just provide the fibre infrastructure, and ISPs sell their own service on top of it.

They would on ethernet but I've seen ~800Mbits on my iPhone 17 Pro Max stood near my Eero router, which is the best I've seen personally. I'm on BT 900. WiFi 7 makes quite a big difference.

I've been on CF through Zen for several years - 900/900 for £30/mo with static IP. Zen's support is excellent and it was needed a few times in the early days as the infrastructure was a little flaky early on. Touch wood it's been solid for the last couple of years. I use the Zen-supplied Fritz!Box router which is actually a fantastic bit of kit.
