All cyclists love stats and now we're at the end of 2025, how was your year?

My love for cycling never really went anywhere, but life kind of got in the way over the last few years. Back in 2014 I rode 6500 miles, 2020 I rode 850. Last year was around 3500, but a new bike this year helped my love return, and I covered my highest ever recorded mileage of 6695 miles. I managed a couple of centuries, including riding from Southampton to Bristol on my gravel bike and a weekend riding th cobbles of Belgium.

I've moved up from a D racer at the start of the year (on Zwift) to a B racer and dropped 17kg over the year. Going from 107kg to 90kg. I'm comfortably there or thereabouts on most Strava segments in the local area too and with a bit of running and dog walking I managed 365 active days on Strava.

All in all, a pretty good year. Here's to another year of riding bikes. How about you?

I don’t pay for Strava so hard to tell. I’m guessing around 3000 miles including Zwift miles which is probably 1000 of the 3000. Pre kids I would have been heading towards 10000 miles a year, how times have changed.

156 rides
311 hours
2,407 miles
291,174 ft elevation gain

Less distance but a bit hillier, winching around at a slow pace, almost all offroad

For everybody too tight to pay for stats in Strava, you can link your account up to statshunters.com and get all sorts of cool statistics, including heat maps and badges. There is an option to buy a beer for the developer, too.

Not the owner but a very happy user of the site.

You can also see your total mileage (or kilometerage?) If that's all you want to see by clicking your profile pic in the Srava app. I've done over 10k km this year which was my target.

I dont strava my rides

Probably 750-ish kms for the year I would guess. Couple of years ago I did more than that in 1 month! laugh

Did see on Instagram that Mr Pidcock has done some riding!

Not quite half actually, but not far off sadly.

I don't Strava, but about 3,500 km in 2025 on my bike.
About 1,000 km on the tandems, too.

For 2024, about 3,100 km on my bike, but that does include
a few weeks recovering after a big crash.

2023 was an even busier year, with about 4,600 km.
Only minor non-hospital crashes in that year.

Good to know I am averaging over 300 km a month out'n'about.

Decent year from me. Happy with what I have done mileage wise. Racing could have gone better but hey.

I was in good shape August 2024, got a really bad bug and couldn't ride until the start of last year, did a few rides, then bought a house to renovate and that knocked everything on the head. Will be back this year.....

Anyone used Roast My Strava? It gives you a humorous review of the year. I've not used it but a colleague showed me theirs it was pretty funny.

Can’t work out how to get the highlight page (I’m a paid subscriber) so did this.

Not great but considering I was diagnosed with shoulder failure in February and I haven’t cycled since October, I’m ok with it.

No stats for cycling here, I feel it would take the enjoyment out of it.

Plenty of riding done (MTB), and hopefully even more this year.

Would have liked to round it off at 7500km but life and weather happened in December.

Not the best year for me - moved house, so had other things going on.

Due to a combination of work, travel, weather and long-term injury (suspected stress fracture in my foot - the treatment for which starts with 3 weeks of no load at all!) 2025 was my poorest effort for about 10 years - 1800km/1120mi and 23000m/76000ft

However physio, and some decent bike shoes helped. Looking forward to being more like 5000km this year, which is roughly my longer-term average

did about 5000km, half my "target"

had a operation on my foot which took me out of it, and got married which reduced free time.

did have a lovely few trips, Calpe with the lads, Salzberg > Zargreb with Work, and trip to Nice too.

only did 1 race!
